And so it begins again – Project Runway Canada 2, electric boogaloo.
Ah, Project Runway 2 – I applied for you, have I metioned that before? Oh don’t worry, I will a few times, I promise you.
First off – Ottawa?!?! wtf? Oh you know this is some Tourism Canada payoff. It didn’t have to be Toronto again – what about Montreal? Vancouver? Start off with the biggies first and then spread out like Junos. (you know its true)
Jaclyn has an anxiety attack within the first 5 hours of starting a damn dress!!! Woman! How many more people are going to go into these torture chamber shows and continue to be surprised at the pressure and deadlines!?! It’s the whole point of these shows!!! Daddy Bailey comes out and walks her to the ambulance – she bites the dust. Christie laughs at it as ”one down already” – I’m keeping my eye on her.
AND THEN THE NEXT DAMN DAY Danio drops out because of his complications due to cancer treatments. Daddy Bailey walks him to the door. TWO PEOPLE WITHIN TWO DAYS!!! Project Runway Producers! Next year when going through applicants – DO A HEALTH CHECK!!! I’m fucking serious! BTW producers – I’m very healthy… just throwing that out there…
Right – back to the show, I’m cool with Camille getting voted out first, the dress she put out was not what they were looking for, and in the first episode, it’s usually pretty easy to see the weakness outfit. (too bad the other 2 couldn’t have put in their shot, le sigh)
Jeffrey sums it nicely, “I’m very good at what I do, but no one knows who I am” – the true mantra of a designer. You can make the hottest shit – but if no one knows who you are – you go nowhere. And THAT is the point of this show, besides showing caddy bitchyness in a fish bowl, it’s to bring talent to main stream and Canada fashion NEEDS that… seriously NEEDS that.
Can’t wait for next week, lets hope everyone takes their vitamins and the only way people leave this show is through the cold dismiss of Iman. Or a good ol’ fashion cat-fight, that would rock.
